Carpets are often the most expensive cost to a homeowner when it comes to flooding or other water damage. Unless standing water is drained and hidden water extracted immediately, the cost can run into thousands of dollars depending on the size of the house.

Extraction wands are the first tool we use to remove water from your carpets in Spokane. A water extraction wand is basically a very powerful suction tool that is designed to draw the water out of the carpet and the pad underneath without damaging the carpet or pulling it away from the frame it is attached to.

If there is still too much water in the carpet pad underneath, we use a weighted extraction tool. This is a slightly more powerful suction tool that also has a heavy weight attached to the base. A technician will use this on the edges of the affected carpet and move inward until the remaining moisture has been removed.

Dehumidifiers are a must in Washington state. With one of the highest average humidity percentages in the country, drying out not just the carpet but the air in the room itself is extremely important. If our technicians see that an area's humidity is not dropping fast enough, they will deploy a commercial grade humidifier to ensure that the room is at the proper number to make sure that the carpet stays in its now clean and dry condition. If this still hasn't returned the carpet and pad to their original state, we will suggest alternate methods that may require the carpet to be at least partially removed from its frame.
